Earl Clements was a musician, a car repair wizard and a longtime volunteer at the Brome-Missisquoi –Perkins Hospital. After a career as an engineer at Toyota, he settled down on a property near Farnham and commuted regularly to the hospital on Main Street in Cowansville.
He was well known at the hospital and extremely well versed in the intricacies of auto engines. He would talk to everybody at the hospital and to anybody, anytime about cars and especially their engines.
Earl lived alone, or we should say with his trusted dog companion, Sammy. When he passed away in March of 2010, he graciously left a legacy to the Butters Foundation of over $10,000. We are very grateful to Mr. Clements for his kindness and generosity toward the cause of intellectually disabled people and their families in the area.
