Project 2 – Camp Garagona – Construction of a new Arts Barn

The ‘’From Caring to Curing” campaign is entering its 4th & final year. More than $3,000,000 has been raised for modernizing the facilities at Camp Garagona in Frelighsburg, and for supporting a research project for pre-school disabled children with emerging behavioral issues. We are still $300,000 shy of reaching our campaign goal.

This last slice of generous support will lead to the construction of a new Arts Barn on the camp site. The design is a 2-story multi-functional 2,400 sq.ft. structure, housing 2 large well-lit & inviting creative spaces with ample counter-top space, an exhibition area, adapted bathrooms on both floors and access to water. It will allow the camp to upgrade and diversify its range of arts-related activities. Arts-based activities are the specialty of Camp Garagona and have been a favorite of campers since 1971.

Your help is still needed to finish this multi-stage construction project, giving parents the respite they need and allowing campers to experience challenges they will never forget.
