Paul Bernard: A True Friend of the Butters Foundation

On September 24th, 2013, the Butters Foundation lost a friend and a grand admirer of Lily Butters and her work. Paul Bernard, a real-estate developer from the South Shore of Montreal, purchased the 35 acre Austin property from the Butters Centre sometime after the last clients were moved into the community in the 1990s. He had great plans for the development of the property and how these plans could eventually help the Butters Foundation. Unfortunately, none of those plans came to life.

Recently the Butters Foundation was made aware that Paul had bequeathed a generous sum of $50,000 to the Butters Foundation from his estate. We are very grateful to Paul and his family. Rest assured that that money will be used to further the legacy of Mrs. Lily Butters.
